DOPA DASH

Stages / District 1

Disco Plaza

Disco Plaza is where every party starts: a tiled dance floor with light-up squares, a sleepy crowd, and two songs that are easy to feel even if you have never played a rhythm game.

Levels 1 to 10. Ten levels: easy ones to start, a HARD level in the middle and a boss on the last.

Read the how to play guide first if you are new, and the boss guide before level 10.

Disco Plaza in play: a party line crossing the floor

The music

The plaza plays a disco track and a k-pop track, and the levels alternate between them. Both sit around a comfortable dancing tempo, which makes them the best place to learn what PERFECT feels like. Watch the record at the bottom of the screen: the ticks meet in the middle on every beat, and your creature lands at the same moment. If you can nod along, you can play here.

Who you meet

The plaza only has grey friends, in three sizes. Small ones are quick to boop. Regular ones are the bulk of every crowd. Chubby ones are worth more and pop into three little friends when you boop them, so a dash that clips a chubby friend early in a line keeps paying out. Nothing here costs a vibe yet: the district is about learning to aim your dashes through lines rather than at single friends.

How the ten levels build

Level 1 asks for 60 friends in 45 seconds and is mostly about tapping in time. Level 2 counts PERFECT dashes instead of friends, and level 4 is your first One dash goal: boop three friends with a single dash. Level 5 is the first medium level, 90 friends in 55 seconds, and level 7 introduces the DROP: stay on the beat until the groove meter fills, wait for the yellow count of three, and tap exactly on the drop for PARTY TIME. Level 8 wants a streak of ten dashes in a row on the beat, and level 9 asks you to grow a party of 30 in a minute.

The boss: King Snooze

Level 10 is the plaza boss, King Snooze, a big sleepy king who slams the floor on the beat. Nobody fights in DOPA DASH: you wake him by dashing into him between slams, and a boss bar shows how close he is to waking up. Keep your party moving between slams, because a slam that catches you costs a vibe. When he is fully awake he joins your party, the plaza gets its color back on the city map, and you get an egg for the first clear.

Three stars here

Stars come from your score, and finishing early turns the seconds you have left into bonus points. On the plaza that means one thing: cut through lines. A dash through five friends is worth far more than five single boops, and the party multiplier climbs as your line grows.
